Magical Cusco takes you to discover this magic in every place: visit the beautiful city of Cusco with its churches and narrow streets that hold thousands of years of history; the Sacred Valley with its beautiful archaeological sites like Pisac and Ollantaytambo; and the beautiful Andean landscape.
Machu Picchu and its splendor can be enjoyed from early morning, and at the end of the trip, you will carry that energy in your heart forever.
Day by day journey
DAY 1 Day 1: Cusco
Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, you will be transferred to your chosen hostel where you will be served a stimulating coca tea to help with the altitude. We recommend resting during the morning to acclimatize.
In the afternoon at approximately 1:30 pm I will pick you up for the COMBINED EXCURSION: which includes a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, typical and Inca streets, as well as a visit to the 4 ruins surrounding the city: The Sacsayhuaman Fortress, the Amphitheater of Quenco, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
Return to Cusco at approximately 6:00 PM.
DAY 2 Day 2: Sacred Valley tour
- Breakfast at the Hotel
- At approximately 8:30 am, I will pick you up for the full-day excursion to the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the town of Pisac, its fair, and traditional market (where various handicrafts are offered). If our excursion is on a Sunday, we will attend Mass in Quechua, officiated by the indigenous mayors or Varayoc. The tour continues with visits to the towns of Calca, Coya, Yucay, Lamay, and Urubamba, known as the Pearl of the Vilcanota, with its beautiful countryside and pleasant climate.
- Buffet lunch.
- Visit to the “Fortress of Ollantaytambo”, a gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex in the time of the Tahuantinsuyo, made up of temples, terraces and joined by a complete system of irrigation and drainage canals.
- Visit to the Chinchero archaeological complex
- Return to Cusco at approximately 6:00 PM.
DAY 3 Day 3: Tour to Machu Picchu
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- At 6:30 am, transfer to the Poroy train station to begin the full-day excursion to the “Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu”
- After a three-and-a-half-hour journey through the Urubamba Valley, we will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station. From there, we will take a 30-minute bus ride to the top of the mountain, where one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture is located. Surrounded by lush vegetation, the citadel sits atop the mountain. A guided tour will take you through the most important areas, including streets, plazas, and temples.
- At approximately 6:00 PM, return by train to Cusco. Reception at the train terminal and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 4 Day 4: Cusco - Lima
- Breakfast at the Hotel
- At the indicated time, I will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport.
